About Lisa

Hello and welcome! I hope this site gives you a glimpse into one of my happy places, the world between the covers of my sketch book. For as long as I can remember I have had a great love for illustration, especially all things childhood! Beginning with my first published work of a “Fairies Colour-in-Cards” book for Pan Macmillan in 2006, I have since enjoyed the privilege of many creative opportunities.

From 2007 on I spent many years creating original canvas art, prints and cards which are now hung on children’s walls in South Africa, New York, France, China and everywhere in between! While selling my artwork online I also began to utilise my Graphic Design skills to create unique illustrated logos for boutique businesses throughout Australia and the US.

I had the honour of creating a series of four illustrations and complementary design elements for the Eckersley’s 2012 Christmas campaign. Then in 2016 I illustrated my first children’s picture book “The Mighty Mighty King Christmas Book” (written by Penny Morrison). They loved my work so much they even let me loose on the title design! Not long after that I worked with CEP again to illustrate “Birds and Bees by the Book” (written by Patricia Weerakoon), published in 2017.

Working with Girls of Faith Dolls in 2018 I created a series of four illustrated scenes to accompany the story of their newly released doll “Kayla”.

My evenings are often filled with a flurry of drawing and creating followed by the always welcome, and very honest, critique of my five little artists and cheeky husband. We are all incredibly spoilt and thankful to have the beautiful Blue Mountains as our backyard. God has given me far more than I deserve.
